I have been practicing yoga for a while, just not consistently. So the strong muscle pain came to me if I went for a class after being lazy too long. That held me back to yoga class sometimes.
It is the first time today that I went to the second class in the same week. I actually felt much stronger and more relaxing after the class. When I told this to my instructor Angie, she was like, are you kidding me? You only came to the class once a week? You need more practices!
So the main point Angie emphasized is consistency. If I decide to practice twice a week, I have to spread it evenly - leave three days between two practices and STICK WITH IT. That is the goal now I am going for. I definitely want to strengthen my body and mind.
I did the tripod posture today, which I never thought I could do that. It looks damn difficult because I don't think my arms are muscular enough to support my whole body weight. But I did it. How? A great balance, the distance between the head and hands matters. A strong core. And faith, you have to believe you can do it and don't worry to fall. (because everyone falls.)

I know this is a bit cliche but I did find the method could apply to any obstacle in life. It always looks difficult, god damn difficult that you think it's impossible to overcome. Yet you need to find an appropriate approach balancing out, and to strengthen your mind and ability, most importantly, and you need to believe yourself.
Then I feel refreshed and full of courage again. :)
